A first session helps us get an idea of what life has been like for you. It’s also an opportunity to experience working together.

The duration of psychotherapy varies depending on individual circumstances. It is determined collaboratively based on your goals, progress, and needs.

the THERAPEUTIC RELATIONSHIP

A strong therapeutic relationship is crucial for successful therapy. The inward journey is a process that takes time and requires trust between you and your therapist. You can evaluate the fit by considering factors such as your comfort level, trust, and whether you feel heard and understood.

Your active participation in being open and honest is vital for achieving the best possible outcomes. It’s recommended to share your thoughts, emotions, desires and concerns about therapy with your therapist. A good therapist offers a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your relationship.

the FLATIRON ARTS BUILDING

Built in 1918, this unique art deco terra cotta three-story professional office building is a defining landmark of the neighborhood. The building’s history as an art hub began in the 1960s, when emerging artists flocked to the building for low rent. The “Around the Coyote” art festival (1989-2010) galvanized the building as an arts hub in Chicago.

Today, the Flatiron Arts Building is a thriving community of art studios, professional offices, and small businesses. The winding hallways display work from the artists in the building. Every first Friday of the month, the studios are open to the public.
