MENS GROUP AGE 27-40+

In-person weekly on Mondays
$40 / session

Men face unique challenges and societal expectations that impact mental well-being. As men become increasingly socially isolated through post-pandemic remote work, the emergence of men's psychotherapy groups has become increasingly valuable.

This group offers a supportive and non-judgmental environment for men to explore their emotions, address personal issues, and foster personal growth. Participation in this group develops relational skills that help with friendships, dating, and long-term partners.

This group provides an opportunity for men to connect with others with similar experiences or challenges. Sharing personal stories and struggles is an empowering experience. This sense of validation and understanding helps to relax stigmas surrounding men's emotional expressivity, and helps others to develop a sense of what it means to belong and be accepted within the group.

Traditionally, men have been socialized to suppress their emotions, leading to a lack of emotional awareness and difficulty in expressing feelings. Men's psychotherapy groups create a safe space where participants can explore and express their emotions freely, without fear of judgment or ridicule. Through practicing open and honest communication, men can gain a deeper understanding of their emotions, promoting overall psychological well-being.

This men's psychotherapy group offers a platform for members to enhance their communication skills. In a supportive group setting, men can practice active listening, effective expression of thoughts and feelings, and empathy towards others. These improved communication skills can have a positive ripple effect on their relationships outside of the group, leading to healthier and more fulfilling interactions with friends, family, and partners.

Men can offer each other advice, empathy, and constructive feedback, which nurtures personal growth and problem-solving skills. The group dynamic allows members to lean on one another during difficult times, fostering resilience and a sense of camaraderie.

Gender-specific psychotherapy groups acknowledge the impact of traditional gender roles, societal expectations, and cultural influences on men's mental health. By focusing on the specific needs and experiences of men, this group is able to provide targeted interventions and strategies tailored to address the issues men commonly face.
